An easy way to enjoy the underwater beauty that surrounds the Puntacana Resort is to go snorkeling.  All you need is a mask, snorkel, fins and flotation device. People of all ages and experience levels will take home wonderful memories about their time in the water with us. Almost anyone can snorkel, you do not need to be a great swimmer, just be comfortable getting into the water and ready to see the amazing world beneath the sea. If you need a little help with buoyancy we provide life jackets and for snorkelers with more experience snorkel vest, allowing you to snorkel down to the bottom of the reef.

Safety is Always first: We only allow supervised snorkeling at the sites.

We provide four boat trips per day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. Your trips start out by selecting your gear, and your snorkel guides will check that you are comfortable with the equipment, followed by a briefing on the snorkel site you will be visiting before heading out into the beautiful ocean. Kids love snorkeling so make this one of the highlights of your family holidays. Join us for a 1.5 hour underwater tour to the shallow, inner coral reefs located in Punta Cana.

Our friendly crew specializes in kids, families, and first time snorkelers. You will be absolutely amazed at the underwater world that lives at our snorkel site we have named The Aquarium. Why the name, this site is a live ocean reef, a Marine Sanctuary, a No-Fish Zone and home to our Coral Nursery, this all means a huge amount of marine life. Expect to see Schooling Sothern Sennet’s, Angel Fish, Parrot Fish, Southern Stingrays, Grunts, Eagle Rays, and our resident Great Barracuda “Francoise”.

You will also have the opportunity to see the coral restoration project, where the stag horn corals are growing, before we transplant them back on to the reefs.

The maximum depth on this site is 10m/33ft, but your snorkel excursion starts at around 4 feet, with the top of the reef, staying just below the surface.

On this site you will snorkel for 45 min to 1 hour, followed by a second snorkel site located 3 minutes away which is our underwater museum where you’ll get too see 21 statues of the Taino Gods, that were placed to build an artificial reef. This site also has frames with Staghorn coral, and has become home to many Juvenile fish, that use the frames and statues as there home.
